What is Colonic Hydrotherapy ?

What happens during a Colon Hydrotherapy Treatment?

During the treatment the client relax on a treatment couch in complete comfort. From the hydrotherapy equipment warm filtered water passes through speculum into the colon. In a closed system, waste is discretely transported into drain line without offensive odour and without comprising the dignity of the individuals. A skilled colon therapist will use several fills and release of water, as well as massage techniques, to dislodge toxic waste matter on the walls of the colon.

One colon hydrotherapy session may be equivalent to having 20 or 30 regular bowel movements or enemas.

Is it painful?

The treatment is not painful.

During the course of colonic, there is a feeling of having to go to toilet, which is not painful but sometimes a bit uncomfortable.

Is it safe?

All colon therapists are fully trained and qualified. The water is introduced at a low gravitational pressure and is constantly monitored. All equipment is pre sterilised and disposable. Surrounding areas are disinfected. Colon Hydrotherapy, unlike the use of laxatives, is not habit forming.

Why not just take laxatives to empty the bowel?

Laxatives are habit-forming, weaken the bowel, can be irritating and not always effective. If you are suffering from constipation you should find the reason of your problems. Depends of reason of constipation laxatives can make it worse and you never stop constipated. During the colon hydrotherapy session we can find the reason accordingly we can advise what kind of laxatives or anti-spastic supplements is useful.

Colonic Hydrotherapy is not a habit forming; it strengthens the bowel because it works by stimulation, is always effective and leaves patients lighter and brighter immediately.

Is it embarrassing to get a colonic and is odour and mess present during the treatment?

No, you will fully maintain your personal dignity. You will be in a private room with only your therapist. Your emotions will be acknowledged and honoured. The client's modesty is preserved at all the time. During the session you are completely covered.
Unlike an enema, there is no mess or odour because the close system is used. Outgoing material is drained straight to sewer system.
